P2: Generate ideas for a new interactive media product for a client brief
P3: Produce a plan for the creation of the interactive media product from the generated ideas.
Here is my intial planning phases for the website. It contains my original blue sky thoughts as well as a later on breakdown and purification of my ideas. In this I talk about my ideas for a graffiti styled logo and a potential reviewing system for the different acts that people have gone to see.
Here is the final site plan for my website, the post its are across the top of the page with the main headline followed by all the details that will be displayed on the page itself.
I discuss the option for this to be a multi purpose type of venue, however later on I decided I disliked this idea and I would rather make a pure hip hop venue.

Purpose
The purpose of my interactive website is to promote a cool new hip hop venue by increasing sales and video views as well as to be a source of information on the musician to encourage more fans and publicity. Fans of the musician will be able to view and purchase the latest songs as well as viewing any new content and upcoming events. The website will also include a information page about the artist which will inform the audience of information about the musician. in order to increase sales I will also add a shop and an events page where the user will be able to buy merchandise and music related to the musician as well as to purchase tickets and be informed about the up coming events and gigs the venue displays.
Client needs
The interactive website is going to have to be proffesionally and logically layed out so that the user can easily find out everything they need to know about the venue including the location as well as ticket prices and showing times. The website shall also need to include constantly updated details so that people intrested in seeing live hip hop acts can always see which acts are playing and when.
The client requirements are thus;
Target audience
The target audience for the interactive webiste is very simply the target audience for the venue itself, i would make this 16 - 25 as they are interested in both hip hop and going out sto see live music therefore the website will be targeted to teenagers and young adults rather than young children and older generations.
Due to the nature of the music genre the social grade of the target audience is likely to be C2DE as opposed to the less hard hitting mainstream tunes that are commonly enjoyed by those of the higher socio-economical demographic bracket. The only point of contesion that I note is that C2DE members are a lot less likely to be able to afford regular concerts and so therefore my target audience may have to allow those of a higher economic dispostion.
Target audience needs
The target audience needs will include a dark themed website this is to fit with the style of the inside of a music venue the style will also be quite simplistic so that there is paramount ease in terms of organising tickets.
The information listed on the website will have to be listed in fairly short paragraphs to keep the attention of the younger spectrum of the audience however it'll need to be sophisticated and well written in order to cater to the ABC1 part of the target audience. The website should include interesting information about the artist as well as a simply laid out store page and ticket book page in order to ease in the audience. We will want to attract the entire target audience, aged 16-21, by including many images as videos featuring the artists. This should encourage them to navigate more willingly through the website.
Content
The content of the website follows:
Format
The format of the website will have to work and be compatible across multiple platforms. Therefore I will have to make sure that the website looks its best on various devices. These are for example a computer, smartphone and a tablet. I will make sure of this by using built in functions with wix which is the programme I shall use to build the website.
Budgeting
The budget for my website is non existent as it is in fact a student made website using wix and made entirely by me. However to hire someone to make one would cost in the region of 5,000 to 10,000 pounds according to websitebuilderexpert.com.

M2 - Explain the legal and ethical issues relating to product ideas
To market my site to the masses, I must pay careful consideration to all legal and ethical issues that could crop up as a result of my interactive product. One main legal issue that I must consider is that of Data Protection. This is a heavily contentious issue especially as of late, with Facebook famously selling peoples data to others. therefore I must stick to all guidelines and ensure that there can be no way for others to gain access to this information and potentially use it for harm or personal gain. Particularly relevant is recent legislation relating to the implementation of GDPR. This security can be achieved through the combined use of encrypted data, (Which makes it very hard to hack into therefore putting most off of attempting to steal it.) as well as using SSL (Secure Socket Layers) which creates an encrypted channel via which the data can be passed from the browser to the web server that my website is hosted from.
In this technology driven age a real danger that online products can cause is that of CyberBullying, where people attempt to mentally hurt others over the internet. This can very simply be prevented by my website not containing any way for individuals to connect and talk to each other. Therefore any feedback people have is directed to me via email as is not displayed to anyone else unless I approve, Furthermore as people's data is not shared, no one will be able to privately contact anyone through details found on my site.
Financial issues are handled through the third party PayPal, this means that I have no obligation in terms of dealing with the privacy of others banking personal information as PayPal are the only people with access to it.
As opposed to many other kinds of media product, a website tends to have fewer legal issues to think about. As long as there are no comments of a slanderous nature about anyone libel shouldn't be an issue. One thing that I would have to be mindful of although is if someone posted a comment that was seen as slanderous. Therefore I would make sure the comments are moderated personally. The main issue that I think could be a problem would be if my website contained inappropriate content, which it does not, or if people were under represented on it, which bearing in mind that no one is photographed on it is certainly not a problem as far as I am concerned. representation could only become an issue if people thought that the acts that I had booked and advertised did not contain a fair mix of gender / ethnicity in relation to the music genre. This is easily circumvented as I have no particular bias in these terms so I would book a range of acts.
