LO2: To be able to record production materials for an extract for an original TV programme or short film.
Here is a picture of me filming Beau for a scene in which he is asleep on a couch at the time this photo was taken I was adjusting the light level on his face whilst explaining exactly how I wanted him to act the part.
Naturally in order to create the film I had to direct the actors, or else they wouldn't know what to do. To do this I, after having shown them the script, would set the scene. For example with the scene I was filming above, I told beau to imagine he has had a very heavy night of drinking and he has been awoken early by a phone call. Naturally you wouldn't be very happy in such a circumstance and Beau handled it very well. Another example comes when I got Gianfranco and others to actually talk through a scene that I knew would have no dialogue. This made the scene seem far more realistic because the reactions of the actors were genuinely in relation to the subject that they were supposed to talk about.
For equipment I used my Canon 700d DSLR which in my opinion produces industry standard film quality as well as I already have an intimate knowledge with how it works. I also used a Rode shotgun microphone as I know that it will produce industry grade audio and is lightweight and simple to attach to my camera.

Some of my rushes for the film that I made.
