P6: - Review and edit sourced footage
|
> What was the production process used to create this shot? -- I went to the chalk pits with a camera and a tripod, from there I set the camera and tripod up and proceeded to video a few pans and zooms. > Compare this shot to the original storyboard - are they the same? Discuss. -- This is a rush containing multiple shots. The story board highlights a few zooms and pans so the ones used are very close to the storyboard. > What direction did you give to cast and crew especially where the effect was concerned and how did you work within the risk assessment? -- I worked alone, so therefore there was no crew to inform, however I wore sturdy doc martin boots to protect from any slip hazards and a large coat and hat so I was not cold. |
> What was the production process used to create this shot? The production process is primarily documented in P5, first I set up the explosive pyrotechnical device then I set up my DSLR on a tripod very low. I did this so that I could get a hidden view of the explosion. Then I hit record and went forwards to light the pyrotechnic before retiring to a safe distance to view it.
> Compare this shot to the original storyboard - are they the same? Discuss. The story board showed more solid material emanating from the explosion however I believe that actually the explosion itself was not dissimilar to how I envisaged it except for perhaps it had more smoke. > What direction did you give to cast and crew especially where the effect was concerned and how did you work within the risk assessment? This was of course a very dangerous effect to carry out therefore I had to be extremely careful and I gave my crew a view of the risk assessment and instructions for disaster. > What was the production process used to create this shot? -- I went to the chalk pits with a camera and a tripod, from there I set the camera and tripod up and proceeded to video a few pans and zooms.

> What was the production process used to create this shot? -- I went to the chalk pit forest with a camera and a tripod, from there I set the camera and tripod up and proceeded to video the trees swaying and a downward pan that I thought may look effective.
> Compare this shot to the original storyboard - are they the same? Discuss. -- This shows the trees in the wind that was highlighted as a part of the storyboard however I did intend for more open ground in front of the trees. -- I went to the chalk pits with a camera and a tripod, from there I set the camera and tripod up and proceeded to film the clouds going past because i knew that that was something that I needed.
> Compare this shot to the original storyboard - are they the same? Discuss. -- This shot was highlighted in the storyboard so it is the same as what is included in the storyboard. > What direction did you give to cast and crew especially where the effect was concerned and how did you work within the risk assessment? -- I worked alone, so therefore there was no crew to inform, however I wore sturdy doc martin boots to protect from any slip hazards and a large coat and hat so I was not cold. |

P7: - Apply planned visual effects to sourced footage
|
This is the effect where a yellow ball gets larger to cover the screen. In the video I describe exactly how I do it and what editing techniques I am using. This is the same for the video below where I use a colour correction tool to create a vibrant purple clip.

Here is me showing how I created a visual effect for my title sequence.
